I'm Evangeline Fabia. 250 available jobs at the renovated Westin Book Cadillac, draws crowds to the hotels Detroit, Michegan location. 1000 Job seekers showed up in hopes to claim a spot working in accounting, administration, banquets, engineering, food and beverage services, guest services, housekeeping and security;... positions that pay an average of $10. dollars an hour. The hotel's hiring plan is good news for Michegan's continuing unemployment rate. Cut backs, lay offs and buying out workers have been a challenge in the city, creating more unemployed workers the highest in the state. Diane Tunstall, the hotel's human resources director said that they're not necessarily looking for experience, but more so on training for skills and hiring for attitude.The hotel is expected to open on Oct. 1 of this year; and the first day of employment is set for Sept. 17.
