Qaṣīdat-ul-Burda - قصيدة البُردة

I put this here because these children recite this qasidah (poem) with such a pure heart. This video gives a high ranking and importance that this event deserves. Is an ode composed by the eminent Sufi Hazrat Imaam Saalih Shara-Fud-Deen Abu Abdullah Muhammad Bin Hasan Al-Busiri (d. 1296) of Egypt. The poem, whose actual title is al-Kawākib ad-Durrīya fī Madhi Khair-ul-Barīya ("Celestial Lights in Praise of the Best of Creation") Sheikh sharafud-deen al-Busiriy said the reason i made this blessed qasidah, is that i had a "falij" that paralized half of my body. So I thought of making a qasida (poem) in praising the prophet and intercede to Allah by Him, so I made this qasidah and I slept. I saw the prophet in the dream, he wiped on me with his blessed hand and I got cured. So I went out of my house, a poor man came to me and said "O master, I want to hear the qasidah that you praised the prophet with, so I told him which qasidah do you want? For, I have praised him in many qasa'id (poems). So the poor man said the one that begins with: "amin tadhakuri jiranin bithi salami" wallahi I heard it yesterday as it was chanted between the whom you authored it about (the Prophet peace be upon him) and he was listening to it. So I gave him the qasidah and he (the poor man) told what happened with him to people. Untill that qasidah reached Baha'addeen the visor of adh-dahir king, and he copied the qasidah. He used to love listening to it along with his family, and they used to seek blessings by it. They saw great blessings from it. Some of the blessings they saw, a person had "ramad" which causes blindness, he saw in the dream someone either the Prophet or someone else, told him go to Fakhrid-Deen and take the Burdah from him and put it on your eyes and you will be cured insha'Allah ta'ala, and when he really put it on his eyes he was cured. The Burda has many blessings and benefits, let it be read when someone is in need of things, for it's very successful.
